About

As part of a new generation of film composers building on the traditions of their great predecessors, Vincent Dargère is constantly looking for opportunities to stretch musical boundaries and deliver the best in what film music can provide.

Coming from a classical background spanning from Gregorian chant all the way to contemporary music, Dargère has been fascinated by music since childhood. He wrote pieces for his local choir, the piano and orchestra in his teens, before turning to film music and adding more strings to his bow in a variety of styles.

He was trained by distinguished film composers such as
Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Copycat, The Hurricane, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man 3), Marc Jovani (Flipped, Vexed, Captain Thunder) from the Berklee College of Music, Nathaniel Blume (Prodigal Son, The Flash, CNN’s decades documentary series, Arrow, Deception) or Dirk Ehlert (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, Infiltrators).

In addition to his scoring skills, Vincent Dargère plays the piano and the flute, but is also attracted to folk instruments, notably the kora, the duduk and the shakuhachi.
